Ladies…
BBBBBBBUUUUUURRRRRRR it is freezing here in Houston. I wish the weather would make up it’s mind. I am tired of going from wife beaters to thermals on a daily basis!
Yesterday was truly a recoup day! I must say, my eating did fall off a tad. I am still recognizing portion sizes, but after my Jack ‘n the Box binge I have been off balance. Right before Bible Study last night I stopped at McDonald’s to pick up Caleb and Jaise (my adopted son) something to eat. During all this I did consume a small order of fries!
I know… I am getting a tad too comfortable. I went to the Dr.’s office yesterday and after that I snacked on some Sour Patch Kids and Kettle Chips… I am beginning to fall off the nutrition “wagon” come on ladies… help me out! I did manage a brief workout yesterday (20 mins cardio and weights). I haven’t done yoga all week, and I feel it!
I did make a promise to myself… I am going to make each day better than the previous. Today my friends, is another day! I have plans to do a full work out and I am munching on healthy snacks and Slim Fast today. No meals for me… I need to get my body back in order. I am back up to 137 (I got down to 135 on my BDay). I appreciate that and I am going to do all I can to shed 10 more pounds by March. I can do this… I have plateaued for too long. Get it together CRay!
CRay’s Tip of the Day...
Get Your Well Woman Exam! This is EXTREMELY important. We as women (mainly Black Women) put ourselves on the back burner too often. It is so important to know what is going on with your body. Once you know what is happening internally, you can prevent tons of illnesses.
I went to my gynecologist yesterday to get my annual exam, and it felt TREMENDOUS! To know what is truly going on with your body empowers you to make better decisions in how you care for your temple.
I challenge each of you to pick up your phone right now and call your gynecologist to schedule a Well Woman’s Check Up. If you do not have a Dr. and are looking for one, please contact me and I will give you info on my doctor, she is truly AWESOME!
Well that does it for today’s Newsletter!
How are you all doing? Any success stories or encouragement needed? We at SSDWLC are here for you! Please contact us at awhewthing@yahoo.com or comment to this post.
In Peace and Struggle.
